Role Description: Senior Industry Marketing Manager – Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
 
Role Purpose: 
 

As the Senior Industry Marketing Manager for AI/ML, you will play a critical role in driving our marketing strategy for this fast-paced industry. You will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) that everyone at Wasabi turns to for guidance and advice, no pressure... 

You will be responsible for understanding the unique needs of organizations implementing AI workloads and developing targeted marketing initiatives that resonate with this audience. 

Your work will help position Wasabi as the go-to cloud storage solution for AI.

Responsibilities:
    • Market Strategy Development:  Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the media and entertainment sector. Create and implement marketing strategies that target public sector customers, aligning with the company's overall business goals.
    • Collaboration with Sales Teams: Work closely with sales teams, providing marketing collateral and sales enablement materials.
    • Content Creation: Develop industry-specific content such as white papers, case studies, webinars, and blogs to educate and engage public sector clients while effectively communicating Wasabi's value proposition.
    • Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimize marketing campaigns focused on increasing awareness and adoption of the company's cloud storage solutions within the public sector.
    • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to understand trends, challenges, and opportunities in the public sector. Use this data to inform marketing strategies and product positioning.
    • Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant public sector regulations and standards, such as data privacy and security requirements.
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to refine and improve strategies.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and support industry-specific campaigns and sales enablement tools.
    • Build relationships with key industry analysts and market visionaries to drive both internal market analysis insights and external thought leadership material. Represent Wasabi in press and industry analyst interviews.
    • Advocate for Wasabi cloud storage through external presentations, such as webinars, digital and third-party events.
    • Travel in support of Wasabi’s activities at trade shows, conferences, and similar events.
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to refine and improve strategies.
    • Yep, that’s a lot of “key” responsibilities, but this market is critical to the success of Wasabi, so there’s a lot of work to do... 
Requirements:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling technical and marketing content and presentations.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a high level of initiative.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications.
    • 7+ years of experience in product/solutions/industry marketing.
    • Proven track record of developing and executing successful industry-specific marketing campaigns.
    • Strong understanding of the personas involved in IT Operations.
    • Depth of knowledge in the key trends, challenges, and opportunities in this market
 Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience working with cloud storage solutions.
    • Experience with the emerging AI marketAI architecture and its intersection with cloud storage.
    • Knowledge of product marketing strategies and tools.
    • Established network of contacts within the IT industry, including Wasabi’s technical partners and channel partners. 

Base Salary – $140,000 - $180,000

The base salary range reflects the full range for this position at Wasabi Technologies. At Wasabi, we believe in paying fairly and competitively, and individual compensation is determined based on factors such as job-related experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Base pay is just one part of our total rewards approach. Depending on role eligibility, Wasabi team members may also receive additional compensation and benefits, including bonus or variable compensation, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support both professional growth and personal well-being.
